What drew you to Enterprise, and what keeps you here?
Shontavia: Fresh out of college, I stumbled upon Enterprise while job hunting on Christmas day. I was drawn to the career path and opportunities for advancement. Like many recent graduates, I wasn’t certain of my next steps right out of college but knew I wanted to work in a corporate environment.
I realized early on that Enterprise was the place I’d continue my career. I excelled at making customers smile and could engage in conversation with anyone, which made my day fun. I worked alongside a very competitive team that pushed me to consider my next steps and plan of action. Those conversations fueled my ambition to progress within the organization.
If you could go back, what would you tell yourself 10 years ago when you started your career at Enterprise?
Shontavia: A few things!
First, asking for help is a strength! At Enterprise, an entire world of support surrounds you, all you have to do is ask.
Second, take yourself out of your comfort zone and be fearless in the pursuit of advancement. No one has ever become great at anything by doing what feels comfortable.
Ten years after being fearless and pursuing an opportunity, I’m thankful to work for a company where I can be my authentic self, surrounded by endless opportunities and support. Cheers to many more years!
