Wayne, PA Management Trainee Casi S. knows firsthand what it’s like to be a military spouse and work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Casi details her experiences in the Q&A below:
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I met my husband 4 ½ years ago when we attended Valley Forge Military College. We both serve in the military, so we both knew what to expect. There has been a lot of separation, waiting, and patience. Communication and support has gotten us through the years. Whenever there was a bump in the road, we trusted one another and conquered each challenge together. Being strong for your family and yourself is a strength I bring to my community. Not only that, but a positive attitude. Stay positive and take each day at a time. Stay strong and conquer.
What do you like best about your career? How did you get to where you are?
What I like most about both of my careers is that they both feel like a family. At Enterprise or with the U.S. Army National Guard, the people I work with are always pushing me to be the best person I can be! The comradery and the support from my colleagues is truly inspiring. Resiliency and being able to bounce back was important, especially when life pushed me two steps backward. I never quit. My husband has been the backbone to my success. He always pushes me to be the best. That is how I got to where I am today.
What advice do you have for a military spouse working to establish a career path?
The best advice that I can give to a military spouse who is working to establish a career path, is to make sure you always put you and your family first. Work-life balance is very important. Also, go for what you absolutely feel most passionate about! Be a self-motivator and always remind yourself that you got this far, you can conquer the world.
