How long were you in the military?
I served in the 489th Engineer Battalion for 12 years. I was active duty for four years and on reserve status for eight.
Describe your career path with Enterprise Holdings:
I joined the company in 2008 as a Management Trainee. It was my first job after returning from duty. Currently, I manage 65 employees across all three of our rental brands.
What was your position in the military?
During my active duty, I was a squad leader responsible for leading troops into combat. I served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. My last position was as an Operations Non-Commissioned Officer responsible for planning and executing missions, and ensuring the safety of our battalion of roughly 1,200 soldiers.
How has your experience in the military translated into success at Enterprise Holdings?
I think my ability to adapt to change was a skill I mastered in the military. Being able to make decisions on the fly was needed in a lot of combat situations. I have to do the same here at Enterprise Holdings.
What piece of advice would you offer military men and women who are considering a role here?
Just be you. Enterprise Holdings offers the ability to control your own career based off performance — just like the military — and the flexibility to be creative.
