March is Women’s History Month, and at Enterprise, we have a lot to celebrate. You may have seen our CEO, Pam Nicholson’s name on Glassdoor’s list of Top Women CEOs or Fortune’s Most Powerful Women. We’re also pretty proud of the fact that two of the industry’s highest ranking women are executives at our company. Women at every level are changing Enterprise history with their ideas, dedication and leadership. Keep reading to learn more about a few of them and their thoughts on what working at Enterprise means to them.
Tanya C. | Branch Manager
“The most important trait contributing to a woman’s success is being able to convey goals and ideas effectively to your team. It’s important that we learn to delegate and set priorities. We need to mentor other women and our team and lead them to success. When you are successful and you lead your team with confidence, you achieve greatness and your career becomes more rewarding.”
Danielle S. | Branch Manager
“I am most proud of the number of individuals that I have helped get to the next level. I find that training and developing my people is the most rewarding aspect of my career. I have seen many of my mentees progress over the years and I am proud that I have helped them along the way!”
Amanda S. | Risk Supervisor
“Don’t be afraid to try new things and don’t ever get discouraged if you are not the best. If you keep trying, learning and pushing, it will all work out eventually. You should be chasing long term growth opportunities versus a title in your career.”
Ali D. | Area Manager
“At Enterprise, your people are your world. I have realized the only time I get unmotivated is when I feel that I am not making someone better because that is my purpose. Whenever I need motivation, I make sure to teach someone on my team something new. The look of excitement when they succeed and knowing that I played a role in their story always brings me back to why this is home. We are here for each other.”
Letty P. | Area Manager
“I come from an immigrant family that worked really hard to put me through school so that I could have a better future. As the first generation to attend college, join a successful company and purchase a home (all as a single independent woman), I am humbled and honored when my family shares my story as an example to motivate the next generation.”
Charlsie D. | Branch Manager
“I know what I stand for, what I’ve done and what I want out of life. That, and the support of my family and friends, gives me the confidence to be the best version of myself everyday, professionally and personally. Regardless of gender, I find the best leaders are selfless, fair, decisive, have integrity and take initiative.”
Phan K. | Area Sales Manager
“When I was a newer manager, I was more reserved in voicing my opinion because I thought I needed more guidance in my new role. When Fleet Management started a group for our female employees, I realized that I have relevant and great ideas to share. This has led to my confidence in giving constructive feedback to our employees and more direct communication with my peers.”
Rachel B. | Area Manager
“Don’t be afraid to take on a challenge, and to go outside your comfort zone. Trust your mentors. Whatever happens is meant to be! Adversity can be a good thing as long as you learn and grow from it.”
Kaii B. | Branch Manager
“My parents are my inspiration because they are both assiduous individuals and instilled the same drive in me. I’m very self motivated. I know where I want to be in life, and I won’t stop working hard and pushing myself until I achieve the success that I know I can. I set monthly and yearly goals and that help me stay on track.”
Sina L. | Station Manager
“Being a mother to my three kids, I have no choice but to be CONFIDENT! I have to be a great example for them. My kids inspire me everyday. They are the most important individuals in my life.”
Reshika M. | Lead Rental Agent
“Remember to treat others as you want to be treated—as simple as that.”
“I have faith in myself and the ‘yes mentality’ that I can do it!
