Last October, Team Canada held its first countrywide Diversity and Inclusion Team meeting with representatives from all operating groups in Canada.
“Driving diversity and inclusion within our business is of utmost importance,” says Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Chris T. “This national team will be instrumental in keeping diversity and inclusion front-of-mind in Canada.”
During the meeting, the team established the following subcommittees to identify opportunities, and establish goals, action steps and measurement plans:
·Talent Acquisition and Retention – focus on increasing resources available to groups to help attract and retain top female and diverse talent in Canada.
·Development and Advancement – provide resources and support to local groups for managing their diversity and inclusion programs.
·Supplier Diversity – make inclusive procurement practices part of the Canadian culture.
“Our company’s values lead the way to our success, and that includes having initiatives to further strengthen our diversity and inclusion efforts,” says Senior Vice President of Canadian Operations Randal N. “By mirroring the makeup of our communities, we further attract and retain top talent and partner with solid business suppliers.”
