Today, we’re going behind the scenes to find out more about Jessenia’s career, how she stays motivated, and what advice she has for those who are just getting started.

How did begin your career with Enterprise?

I first learned about Enterprise as an employer when I attended a Diversity Leadership Event in college. I was immediately drawn to the opportunities for advancement and the idea that I was able to directly impact my career through my performance.

What keeps you at Enterprise?

First, the great career opportunities. I’ve been fortunate to have been promoted to new roles and new locations that always keeps things exciting.

Second, I have worked with some amazing people. They have helped develop my skill sets, motivated me to achieve more, and guided me on my path to success.

How do you motivate yourself throughout the day?

I once worked with an RVP who taught me to take my big goals and break them down to daily goals. Each day I set specific daily goals that keep me motivated as I can see how they will help me achieve those bigger goals.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

What I enjoy most is interacting with employees on our team and seeing them develop, advance in their careers and achieve their goals.

What has surprised you most about working at Enterprise?

How much of a family our company really is. Having moved several times on my own, my Enterprise family has always gone above & beyond to make me feel welcome. I learned the best places to explore in each of the cities I’ve lived!

In your opinion, what sets Enterprise apart from other employers?

The people on our teams sets Enterprise apart. Our employees are driven to succeed, committed to our values, and love to celebrate our wins.

What career tips would you offer to someone starting out at Enterprise?

1. Find a mentor that you can trust and who is outside of your immediate area. Having mentors with various experiences provides several perspectives that will help you succeed.
2. Set goals. It is important to know what you are trying to achieve.
3. Keep an open mind. Enterprise is full of career paths, and an open mind will allow you to prepare for different opportunities.
